Amazon Web Services launched Bedrock 3 on July 14 with a visual agent builder interface. The platform adds 12 new foundation models from multiple providers. Multi-agent orchestration allows chaining up to 50 specialized agents in one workflow.

Integration with SageMaker enables direct model fine-tuning from the Bedrock console. Pricing for agent execution starts at 0.0008 dollars per invocation. Early customers include Siemens and Moderna with live deployments.

Bedrock 2 launched in November 2025 and focused on single-model inference. The new version addresses enterprise demand for composable AI systems. AWS now operates 42 availability zones with Bedrock availability in all regions.

Why this matters

Bedrock 3 lowers the barrier for non-experts to build reliable AI agents. Enterprises gain governed orchestration without managing separate infrastructure. This accelerates AWS's position in the growing agent platform market.

Competitors including Azure AI Studio must match visual tooling speed. Developers benefit from unified billing across models and agent runs. The update supports AWS's goal of 50 percent AI workload growth in 2026.

Additional model providers will join the catalog in August. AWS plans to release on-premises Bedrock options in Q1 2027.
